In 1985, Builders Direct Supply Ltd. opened as a service of Reid Built Homes. It was a central location where suppliers and wholesalers could showcase their goods to both builders and to the home buying public. Now, more than twenty years later, and known as the Design Centre, the concept has been refined, expanded and frequently copied, but the original idea of making the buying process easier for Reid Built clients remains at the core.
